Qair signs three-year software monitoring agreement with PowerUp for BESS portfolio in Mauritius

Type: Supply Agreement · Technology: Storage · Country: Mauritius · Announced: 2026-07-24

Qair signed a three-year agreement with French battery analytics firm PowerUp to deploy its Battery Insight software across four battery energy storage system (BESS) projects under construction in Mauritius. The first project covered by the framework is Stor’Sun, a 391 MWh BESS that will support Mauritius’ goal of reaching 60% renewable electricity by 2030. PowerUp’s platform will monitor battery performance, lifetime and safety, providing predictive indicators that can detect faults up to 12 months earlier than conventional methods. The deal includes commissioning support services to verify battery performance during testing and accelerate commercial operation. By integrating advanced analytics, Qair aims to optimise operating strategies, improve asset lifecycle management and enhance the reliability of its renewable‑focused storage portfolio.
