Qualitas Energy finalized financing for a 211 MW battery energy storage system (BESS) portfolio in Italy through its Qualitas Energy Credit Fund, supporting two projects in Lombardy and Apulia with 4-hour and 8-hour storage durations respectively. The portfolio secured 15-year capacity agreements via Italy's MACSE storage auctions and market capacity mechanisms, ensuring long-term revenue streams. ACL Energy, the minority shareholder and project owner, will receive funding tied to construction milestones across the portfolio. The financing structure leverages Qualitas Energy's credit fund, which has committed over €370 million to date for energy infrastructure projects. ACL Energy's industrial partner holds the majority stake in the projects.
