R.Power awards EPC contracts for two utility-scale battery storage projects in Poland to Onde SA and Esix

Type: Supply Agreement · Technology: Storage · Country: Poland · Capacity: 550 MW · Announced: 2026-07-24

R.Power, a pan-European independent power producer, has awarded EPC contracts for two utility-scale battery energy storage system (BESS) projects in Poland. Onde SA will execute the Dzięgielewo project (300 MW / 1,200 MWh), while Esix will develop the Gdańsk project (250 MW / 1,000 MWh). These projects are scheduled for completion between late 2027 and early 2028, significantly expanding R.Power's BESS portfolio in Central and Eastern Europe. The combined capacity of these projects, totaling 550 MW / 2,200 MWh, nearly doubles the scale of R.Power's previously initiated projects, Jedwabno and Scorniçesti. Both projects are supported by capacity market contracts secured in Polish auctions, with service provision expected to commence in 2029, and the Dzięgielewo project also benefits from an optimization agreement with Axpo, public grants, and green bond financing.
