Type: Investment · Technology: Transmission · Country: India · Announced: 2026-07-01

REC Limited established two wholly‑owned subsidiaries, Beed Parli Power Transmission Limited and Yavatmal Power Transmission Limited, to develop intra‑state transmission projects in Maharashtra. The projects includes a 765 kV line linking Beed and Parli and a 400 kV line serving Yavatmal, both aimed at strengthening the state’s power grid. Both SPVs were incorporated in July 2026 with an authorized capital of ₹5 lakh each and will operate under the guidance of RECPDCL before being transferred to successful bidders. The creation of these entities expands REC’s transmission portfolio and supports India’s goal of enhancing high‑voltage transmission capacity. No financial value beyond the nominal capital was disclosed, and the deal does not involve external lenders or advisors.
