Type: Supply Agreement · Technology: Onshore Wind · Country: United Kingdom · Capacity: 70 MW · Announced: 2026-08-11

RWE completed construction of the 70 MW Enoch Hill onshore wind farm in East Ayrshire, Scotland, through an EPC contract awarded to Farrans, which served as the principal contractor alongside turbine supplier Nordex. The project, located near New Cumnock, includes Nordex N133/4.8 and N117/3600 Delta4000 wind turbines, with construction starting in June 2023 and first electricity generated in April 2026. Turbine commissioning was finalized in May 2026, marking the project's operational readiness. Farrans directed over 38% of its construction expenditure to suppliers within 20 miles of the site and an additional 23% to suppliers within 50 miles, reinforcing local economic benefits in East Ayrshire. The wind farm is RWE’s second onshore wind project completed in Scotland in 2026, following the 36 MW Camster II project in Caithness, adding a combined 106 MW of generation capacity to RWE’s Scottish portfolio.
