Saipem awarded €700 million contract by Eni for new Priolo biorefinery

Saipem has secured a main contract valued at approximately 700 million euro from Eni Industrial Evolution for the construction of the new Priolo biorefinery in Sicily. The project, slated for completion by the end of 2028, encompasses Engineering, Procurement, and Construction activities. This contract reinforces the ongoing collaboration between Eni and Saipem in developing biorefining capabilities in Italy, building on agreements signed in 2023 and extended in 2025. The new facility will have a capacity of 500 thousand tonnes per year, designed to produce SAF-biojet fuel and HVO-diesel with high operational flexibility. Saipem's expertise in industrial transformation and conversion projects supports the sector's sustainable development and the energy transition.
