Saipem awarded carbon capture contract for Ren-Gas' Tampere e-methane project in Finland for its Bluenzyme™ 200 solution

Saipem has been awarded a contract by Ren-Gas for the Engineering, Procurement and Fabrication (EPF) of a carbon capture unit based on its proprietary Bluenzyme™ 200 solution for the Tampere Power-to-Gas project in Finland. The scope includes advisory services during installation, commissioning, start-up, and performance testing, with the unit integrated into Ren-Gas' e-methane production facility expected to generate approximately 200 GWh per year of renewable synthetic fuel. The contract, effective upon Ren-Gas' final investment decision (FID), builds on a previous selection of Saipem's Bluenzyme™ technology announced in December 2024 and supports the development of a low-carbon energy ecosystem in Northern Europe.
