SBM Offshore signs contract with Tianjin BOMESC for FPSO topside modules

SBM Offshore has contracted Tianjin BOMESC Offshore Engineering to design, procure, and construct topside modules for a floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) unit destined for South America. The contract, valued between $240 million and $312 million, took effect on September 24 and includes a fixed-price portion and a variable component based on workload. Construction will occur at BOMESC's Lingang Offshore Heavy Industry Construction Base, with completion scheduled for the second half of 2028. The deal is part of a long-standing collaboration between the parties, having previously worked together on the FPSO Sepetiba project.
