Scatec signed a 25-year power purchase agreement with Egypt Aluminium for a 1.1 GW solar PV plant paired with 100 MW / 200 MWh battery storage in Egypt; Scatec will own 100% initially, act as EPC (~90% of capex), asset manager and O&M provider, and aims to reach financial close and start construction within 12 months with an estimated project cost of $650 million.
