Seaway7 secures EPC contract for jacket foundation installation at Inch Cape 1.1 GW offshore wind farm in Scotland

Type: Supply Agreement · Technology: Offshore Wind · Country: United Kingdom · Announced: 2026-08-11

Seaway7 was awarded an EPC contract by Inch Cape Offshore Limited in December 2024 to transport and install 18 jacket foundations and 54 pin piles at the 1.1 GW Inch Cape offshore wind farm off the Angus coast in Scotland. The contract also covers the installation of 54 monopile transition pieces, which were manufactured by CNOOD-Wenchong Heavy Industries (CWHI) and COOEC Fluor Heavy Industries (CFHI). Seaway7's heavy lift crane vessel Seaway Alfa Lift is responsible for transporting and installing the transition pieces from the marshalling yard at Forth Port’s Leith facility, with six units installed per trip. Each transition piece stands approximately 28 metres tall, has an outer diameter of 8.3 metres, and weighs around 700 tonnes. The jacket foundations will be supported by 54 pin piles, with installation expected to commence using a pre-piling template later in 2026, followed by the jacket foundations themselves.
