Sien Real, a joint venture formed by Polish construction firm Budimex and Spanish infrastructure operator Ferrovial, announced plans to develop a data center on the border of Piaseczno and Józefosław, a suburb of Warsaw. The facility will occupy a 487,660 sq ft (45,305 sqm) plot and is expected to begin construction in 2027. The project received planning permission in 2024 and includes provisions for water retention, diesel tanks, and power generators totaling 118MW capacity. Local residents have raised concerns about potential water shortages and environmental impact, prompting the developers to highlight mitigation measures such as advanced cooling systems and noise reduction technologies.
