SLPE secures foundation engineering contract from EnBW for 1 GW Dreekant offshore wind farm

SLPE was awarded a contract by EnBW to provide wind turbine foundation engineering services for the 1 GW Dreekant offshore wind farm. The Dreekant project is located in the German Exclusive Economic Zone in area N-12.3 about 120 kilometres northwest of Heligoland and EnBW secured development rights in June 2024. Under the contract SLPE will deliver concept design, front-end engineering design (FEED) and detailed design for turbine foundations and will support fabrication, installation and commissioning after detailed design completion. EnBW plans to submit the project's approval application in 2027 and expects a final investment decision in 2029 with commercial operation planned for 2032. The award builds on SLPE’s prior foundation concept work at the Inch Cape offshore wind farm and follows earlier 2024 awards by EnBW to Jörss-Blunck-Ordemann (JBO) for geotechnical and pre-FEED work on Dreekant.
