Type: Supply Agreement · Technology: Transport · Country: Poland · Announced: 2026-06-10

Polish public transport operator MZK Toruń signed a contract with Solaris Bus & Coach in May 2025 to acquire 40 Solaris Urbino 12 electric buses, expanding its zero-emission fleet from 10 to 50 vehicles. The agreement also included the installation of associated charging infrastructure, comprising depot chargers and pantograph charging stations at the depot and multiple city locations to enable operational charging. The delivered twelve-metre, low-floor buses feature air conditioning and European safety regulation GSR2-compliant driver assistance systems, including Blind Spot Information System (BSIS) and Moving Off Information System (MOIS). This delivery marks the latest phase in a long-standing partnership between Solaris and MZK Toruń, which began in 2010 and has since delivered a total of 189 buses, with recent orders increasingly focused on low-emission and fully electric vehicles. The new buses were officially handed over on June 9, 2026.
