Sonnedix closes €67 million financing for solar projects in Spain and Italy

Sonnedix has closed a €67 million financing package for solar PV projects in Spain and Italy, which will support the construction of the 25 MW Sonnedix Duquesa project in Spain and three solar projects in Italy with a combined capacity of 77 MW. The Italian assets includes the 38 MW Sonnedix Latina 3 project, the 18 MW Sonnedix Cascinetto project, and the 21 MW Sonnedix Cisterna project. The projects are part of Sonnedix’s Dolce Vita portfolio and will be supported under Italy’s FER X scheme, with revenues backed by 20-year contracts for difference guaranteed by GSE. The financing was completed with a group of banks, including Banco Santander, Banco Sabadell, BBVA, Rabobank, CIBC, and NatWest. Sonnedix plans to add battery energy storage systems to the Sonnedix Duquesa project in a later phase. The deal demonstrates the confidence of financial institutions in Sonnedix's long-term growth strategy and the strength of its European portfolio.
