Sonnedix secured a $1.3 billion refinancing package to support its Chilean portfolio of 1 GW of operating solar and wind assets and 117 MW of battery storage under construction. The financing was arranged by a syndicate of eight banks, with BNP Paribas, Bank of America, Crédit Agricole CIB and Santander acting as Joint Lead Arrangers and Joint Bookrunners, and BBVA, Goldman Sachs and MUFG serving as Mandated Lead Arrangers. The transaction also includes a coverage coordination role for Crédit Agricole CIB and exclusive financial advisory from BNP Paribas. The new capital structure will fund further renewable and storage development, including hybrid projects, and strengthen Sonnedix’s balance sheet in Chile. By leveraging private‑PPA contracts and regulated revenue streams, the refinancing aims to expand Sonnedix’s renewable footprint and enable additional hybrid storage projects.
