Sosteneo acquires majority stake in 350 MW German onshore wind portfolio from ENOVA Value joint ventures
Type: Acquisition · Technology: Onshore Wind · Country: Germany · Capacity: 350 MW · Value: $349M · Announced: 2026-08-11
Sosteneo agreed to acquire a majority stake in a 350 MW portfolio of onshore wind projects in Germany, establishing a new operating platform called ENOVA Generation with 11 projects. The transaction, valued at $349 million, includes approximately 40% operational capacity and 60% under construction or approaching final investment decision (FID), all receiving 20-year remuneration under Germany’s Renewable Energy Sources Act (EEG). ENOVA Value, a joint venture between Omnes Capital and ENOVA Power, will retain a minority stake and continue operational management of the assets. The deal represents Sosteneo’s first investment from its second flagship fund, Fund II, which has raised €300 million ($349 million) to date with a target of €1 billion in total commitments. Expected to close in Q3 2026 pending customary approvals, the transaction underscores Sosteneo’s strategy to invest in clean energy infrastructure with stable cash flows while leveraging ENOVA’s local expertise in wind repowering.
