Stafford Capital Partners and BPER Corporate & Investment Banking refinance €89.4 million for Italian solar portfolio repowering

Stafford Capital Partners, a London-based investment and advisory firm, refinanced a €89.4 million loan with BPER Corporate & Investment Banking to support the repowering of its Star I solar portfolio in Italy. The financing will refinance existing debt and fund a repowering program focused on incentivized assets within the 30-plant portfolio. Following the repowering, total installed capacity will increase from 75 MW to 84 MW, with an expected annual production of 130 GWh and an average production boost of 80% per plant. The portfolio includes assets commissioned between 2011 and 2026, with six operating under merchant models and the remainder benefiting from incentive mechanisms. The transaction is part of Stafford Capital Partners' broader infrastructure platform, which manages multiple renewable energy assets across Italy.
