Star Energia, through its subsidiary Puglia BESS Srl, obtained a unique authorization (AU) from the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security (Mase) for a 297 MW Battery Energy Storage System (BESS). The project, named "Puglia BESS," will be developed across the municipalities of Avetrana (Taranto), Erchie (Brindisi), and San Pancrazio Salentino (Brindisi). This authorization, granted via decree 203/2026, is part of the over 2 GW of storage capacity approved by Mase in July.
