Starwood Capital Group and Trinitas Ventures formed a joint venture to develop purpose-built student housing at three leading US universities: University of Pittsburgh, University of Oklahoma, and University of Wisconsin–Madison. The partnership closed on three sites—Atmosphere Pittsburgh, Atmosphere Norman, and Atmosphere on Mifflin—representing a combined 2,046 beds across 12 parcels in Pittsburgh, 677 beds in Norman, Oklahoma, and 697 beds adjacent to the University of Wisconsin campus. Each community targets summer 2028 delivery and incorporates local market dynamics, including constrained student housing supply and record enrollment growth. Newmark arranged the venture, combining Starwood's institutional capital with Trinitas' development and construction expertise.
