Subsea7 secures contract extension for Sakarya Phase 3 gas development offshore Türkiye

Subsea7 secured a contract extension valued between $50 million and $150 million from Turkish Petroleum Offshore Technology Center (TP-OTC) for additional work on the Sakarya Phase 3 gas development offshore Türkiye. The expanded scope includes towing, installation, and connection of mooring lines for the floating production unit (FPU) commissioning in 2028. Project management and engineering for this phase will be executed from Subsea7's Istanbul office, with work starting immediately. This award extends Subsea7's existing contract and deepens its involvement in the Black Sea gas development, which holds proven reserves of 405 billion cubic meters of natural gas. The FPU, designed for a 30-year service life, will integrate gas processing, compression, and export functions with a daily export rate of 25 million standard cubic meters.
