A consortium led by Sumitomo Corporation alongside Shikoku Electric Power, Korea Southern Power, and Korea Overseas Infrastructure & Urban Development Corp. signed a long-term power and water sale agreement with Qatar General Electricity and Water Corp. (Kahramaa) to build and operate a 2,400 MW natural gas-fired power station and a 495,000 tons/day seawater desalination plant (Facility E) near Doha, Qatar.
