Sungrow signs framework agreements with HEC Technology and ZDATA for 130 MW of solid-state transformers for AI data centers
Type: Supply Agreement · Technology: Data Center · Country: China · Announced: 2026-07-10
Sungrow launched EnerNeo, a 3 MW solid-state transformer (SST) designed for AI data center power supply, and signed two framework procurement agreements totaling 130 MW with HEC Technology and ZDATA. The agreement with HEC Technology covers 30 MW with deliveries scheduled in batches from 2026 to 2027, while the ZDATA agreement covers 100 MW with deliveries planned for 2027 and 2028. Sungrow's EnerNeo converts 10 kV to 13.8 kV medium-voltage AC directly into 800 V DC output with a rated power capacity of 3 MW per unit, achieving 98.5% conversion efficiency and a power density of 312 kW/m². The system is designed to replace multiple conversion stages in conventional data centers, reducing conversion losses, copper consumption, and equipment footprint by up to 80% compared to traditional transformer-based configurations. A demonstration project is expected to begin by the end of 2026, with Sungrow planning to expand SST technology into charging infrastructure, energy storage, solar, wind, hydrogen, and grid applications between 2027 and 2030.
