Type: Acquisition · Technology: Solar · Country: Italy · Capacity: 100 MW · Announced: 2026-07-29

Sunprime acquired 11 ready-to-build photovoltaic projects from Starlight, with a total capacity of approximately 100 MW across Italy. This acquisition marks the initial phase of Sunprime's broader acquisition program, targeting up to 500 MWp by June 2027, which includes both medium and high-voltage grid-connected projects, as well as battery energy storage systems (BESS). The entire program is part of the Sophocles plan, with its construction phase already financed by a pool of banks for a total of €507 million. A portion of the acquired portfolio is already allocated under the FER-X/CfD mechanism, ensuring incentivized revenues for the contractual duration. The remaining initiatives are candidates for upcoming FER cycles and the Energy Release mechanism, with a defined regulatory risk profile at the time of acquisition.
