Type: Ppa · Technology: Solar · Country: India · Capacity: 105 MWp · Announced: 2026-06-01

Sunsure Energy commissioned the 105 MWp Kabrai Solar Project in Kabrai village, Mahoba district, Uttar Pradesh, completed in four months after signing the power purchase agreement. The project spans 282 acres and is connected to the grid via a dedicated 7 km, 132 kV transmission line, with an annual generation capacity of over 167 million kWh. Sunsure Energy now operates 365 MWp of solar capacity across 11 facilities in Uttar Pradesh, with plans to expand to 500 MW by FY26 under its UP Shakti initiative. The project is the first to evacuate renewable energy through UPPTCL’s Green Energy Corridor-II programme, a Rs 5,400 crore initiative supporting 4 GW of solar generation from the Bundelkhand region. The solar plant will supply electricity to industrial customers including LG Electronics, Kajaria Ceramics, Jindal Stainless, Dabur, and Bisleri, while avoiding 120,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually.
