Swift Current Energy closes $750 million corporate credit facility
Type: Financing · Technology: Renewable Energy · Country: United States · Value: $750M · Announced: 2026-08-21
Swift Current Energy secured a $750 million corporate credit facility, with an accordion option to increase it to $1 billion, to support the development, construction, ownership, and operation of energy projects across the US. The three-year, dual-tranche facility provides cash and letter-of-credit capacity, reflecting the company's strong portfolio and the growing demand for new energy infrastructure in the United States. Crédit Agricole CIB acted as administrative agent and coordinating lead arranger, alongside ING Capital and Truist Securities, with KeyBank serving as collateral agent and joint lead arranger. This financing provides Swift Current with additional flexibility to advance its platform and bring new energy resources online efficiently, building on its track record of commercializing 5 GW of clean energy projects since 2016. Sidley Austin advised Swift Current, while Norton Rose Fulbright acted as lenders’ counsel.
