Tavion secures €50M financing for 69 MW battery storage projects in Poland

Tavion, a Swedish battery storage developer, secured approximately €50 million in equity and debt financing to support the construction of three battery storage projects in Poland with a combined capacity of 69 MW. The funding includes a €33.5 million equity round led by Leitmotif and Oberon Capital, with participation from existing investors BackingMinds and Course Corrected VC, alongside a €16 million debt facility. Construction of the first two projects is scheduled to begin in September 2026, with the three projects forming part of a larger 184 MW portfolio at or near ready-to-build stage in Poland. Polish development pipeline Tavion has a wider development pipeline of 1.7 GW in Poland. The company expects to raise further debt and equity to finance its full construction programme. Philipp Emig of Leitmotif and Daniel Linnergren of Oberon Capital commented on the investment, highlighting batteries as a core building block for Poland's rapidly electrifying grid and industrial competitiveness. Capcora advised on the debt financing while Nirou advised on the equity round.
