TDI-Brooks awarded offshore survey contract by Delfin LNG for Delfin Deepwater Port Project

Type: Supply Agreement · Technology: Oil Gas · Country: United States · Announced: 2026-08-10

TDI-Brooks secured a contract to provide offshore geophysical and geotechnical survey services for the Delfin Deepwater Port Project, located offshore Louisiana in the Gulf of Mexico. The agreement positions TDI-Brooks as the prime contractor, responsible for executing geophysical survey activities and managing the geotechnical investigation in partnership with subcontractor Tolunay-Wong Engineers, Inc. Geophysical data acquisition is scheduled to begin in late August 2026 using the R/V Brooks McCall, followed by the geotechnical phase starting in late September 2026. The survey will deliver critical seabed and subsurface data to support the development of the first U.S. offshore LNG export facility using floating production technology. The Delfin Deepwater Port Project will leverage existing infrastructure, including the acquired UTOS pipeline system, to reduce capital requirements and aims to deploy up to three floating LNG vessels with a combined capacity of approximately 13.2 million tonnes per annum.
