TDI-Brooks was selected by the Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources (MPRM) on 2026-09-29 to perform a light geotechnical and environmental baseline survey offshore Timor-Leste in support of the planned TLNG development. The program will support routing of the Gas Export Pipeline from the Greater Sunrise field to Natarbora and the Bayu-Undan Pipeline Highway to Natarbora, using TDI-Brooks' DP2 research vessel R/V Nautilus. The geotechnical scope includes about 508 seabed tests made up of gravity CPTs (gCPT), piston cores (PC), box cores (BC) and cyclic T-bar measurements, while the environmental baseline study covers 16 provisional stations collecting 40 sediment and 40 water samples. Field operations for both scopes are scheduled to start in mid-January 2027, providing critical data for pipeline routing, engineering design, and geohazard assessment for the offshore development. TDI-Brooks will deliver the survey in partnership with Taka Hydrocore Indonesia (THI) for the MPRM procurement supporting the TLNG pipeline planning.
