TerraWind Renewables and Sym Energy formed a joint venture to develop a 30 MW onshore wind project in Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan. The partners created a special purpose company, with TerraWind holding an 80 % stake and Sym Energy the remaining 20 %. Construction is slated to start in the third quarter of 2029 and the wind farm will begin commercial operation in the first quarter of 2032. The addition lifts TerraWind’s net equity portfolio from 327 MW to 351 MW, aligning with its target to assemble a 1 GW pipeline by 2030. The joint venture also serves as a platform for additional renewable opportunities across Southern Kyushu, leveraging Sym Energy’s local development expertise.
