TGS Prediktor’s PowerView Plant SCADA solution was selected by Scatec ASA to deliver centralized monitoring and operations for the Grootfontein solar power project in South Africa’s Western Cape. The contract covers three large-scale photovoltaic plants with a combined capacity of 225 MWAC (273 MWp) near Ceres and Touws River, all connected to Eskom’s national grid. The PowerView platform will serve as the operational backbone for the integrated development, enabling real-time monitoring, control, and performance management across all three facilities. Scatec ASA, an international renewable energy developer, will use the platform to aggregate operational data and reporting across its broader asset portfolio, supporting compliance with grid and regulatory requirements.
