TotalEnergies has reached an agreement with Shell to acquire the entirety of Shell's terrestrial renewable energy business in Europe. The operation includes 500 MW of operational and under-construction solar and wind assets, primarily in Italy and the Netherlands, alongside a portfolio of 3.5 GW of solar, wind, and battery storage projects in Italy, the UK, and Spain. The acquisition combines operational assets and projects under construction, expanding TotalEnergies' exposure to renewable technologies and storage across several European markets. The deal was announced on 2026-09-25 as part of iDeals-M&A Community's monthly M&A roundup for the Iberian Peninsula.
