TotalEnergies has entered into a partnership agreement with Global Infrastructure Partners (GIP), a part of BlackRock, relating to TotalEnergies' interests in oil and gas infrastructure assets in Africa. In exchange for a $1.8 billion capital contribution, TotalEnergies will pay GIP a throughput-based tariff throughout a period of up to 15 years. The deal crystallizes the value of TotalEnergies' midstream infrastructure assets in Africa, strengthening the relationship between the two companies. Jean-Pierre Sbraire, CFO of TotalEnergies, stated the agreement highlights the value of the assets being transferred.
