TP Saurya secures permission to sell infirm power from 100 MW solar component of 600 MW wind-solar hybrid project in Rajasthan
Type: Ppa · Technology: Hybrid · Country: India · Capacity: 100 MW · Announced: 2026-07-08
TP Saurya, an India-based independent power producer (IPP), received permission from the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) to sell infirm power generated by the 100 MW solar component of its 600 MW wind-solar hybrid project in Rajasthan. The permission allows TP Saurya to sell electricity generated during testing, trial operation, synchronization, or partial readiness phases until the project achieves partial commissioning under its power purchase agreement (PPA). SECI issued a no-objection certificate permitting third-party sales after TP Saurya proposed selling the power at a mutually agreed tariff. The 100 MW solar unit is already operational, but the wind component has faced delays due to postponed connectivity at the Gadag-II substation. The dispute involved TP Saurya, SECI, MPSEZ Utilities (MUL), and CESC, with the order resolving their conflicting positions regarding infirm power sales.
