TransAlta signed a 16-year fixed-price tolling agreement with Puget Sound Energy under which PSE will have exclusive rights to the 700 MW capacity, energy and ancillary services from TransAlta's Centralia Unit 2 following its conversion from coal to natural gas, with roughly US$600 million capex and a target commercial operation date in late 2028.
