Trianel Energieprojekte was selected as the strategic partner by the Verbandsgemeinde Montabaur Erneuerbare Energien (VGM EE) to develop multiple utility-scale solar projects across 120 hectares in the Montabaur municipality, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. The partnership follows a competitive process initiated by VGM EE, a newly established energy company owned by the town of Montabaur, the municipality, and 23 local communities, with the goal of advancing renewable energy projects while retaining economic benefits locally. The identified sites are projected to generate up to 170 GWh of electricity annually, sufficient to power approximately 49,000 households. Trianel Energieprojekte, which has completed over 20 solar PV projects in Rhineland-Palatinate, will lead site assessments, grid connection planning, and the development of community participation models to maximize local value creation. The collaboration aims to accelerate the rollout of renewable energy infrastructure across the region while ensuring direct involvement of local stakeholders and citizens.
