Type: Sale · Technology: Offshore Wind · Country: United Kingdom · Capacity: 588 MW · Value: $207M · Announced: 2026-06-15

The Renewables Infrastructure Group (TRIG) agreed to sell its 17.5% stake in Scotland's Beatrice offshore wind farm for approximately $207 million (£155 million) to funds managed by Equitix Investment Management, an existing co-shareholder. Beatrice is one of Scotland's largest offshore wind projects with a 588 MW installed capacity, located in the Moray Firth. The wind farm is operated by SSE Renewables on behalf of a joint venture that includes SSE Renewables (40%), Red Rock Renewables (25%), TRIG (17.5%), and Equitix (17.5%). The transaction follows Equitix's exercise of a pre-emption right announced on June 15, 2026. Completion is expected before the end of 2026, pending third-party consents. The deal represents TRIG's exit from the Beatrice project as part of its portfolio optimization strategy.
