Valmet to deliver automation system for CO2 liquefaction to Suomen Biovoima and Auris Energia
Type: Supply Agreement · Technology: Biomass · Country: Finland · Announced: 2026-07-24
Valmet will deliver a Valmet DNAe automation system to Suomen Biovoima, which will be integrated into Auris Energia's biogas plant in Finland. This system will enable the capture, purification, and liquefaction of biogenic carbon dioxide (bioCO2) generated as a byproduct of biomethane production. The project represents the first carbon dioxide liquefaction plant of its kind in Finland using this technology, supporting the circular economy by turning emissions into valuable raw material for industrial applications like concrete production. The main system delivery is scheduled for November 2026, with installation planned for December 2026 and start-up expected in the first quarter of 2027. The collaboration aims to strengthen resource efficiency and enable secure data transfer, monitoring, and reporting of plant status and KPIs for Auris Energia.
