Valmet secured a supply agreement with Gren Tartu to deliver a flue gas condenser and heat pumps for improved heat recovery at a district heating plant in Tartu, Estonia. The solution will enable the recovery of low-temperature heat from flue gases and upgrade it to a temperature suitable for district heating, adding over 10 MW of additional heat supply to the network. This project aims to increase the plant's heat production capacity while reducing fuel consumption and emissions, aligning with Gren Tartu's sustainability goals. Valmet's technology will enhance the plant's energy efficiency and strengthen the security of heat supply for local customers, including offices, public buildings, hospitals, and housing associations.
