Van Oord and Boskalis were awarded a €500 million dredging contract for the Malmporten Project in the Port of Luleå, Sweden. The contract, signed on 2 July 2026, was granted by the Swedish Maritime Administration and the Port of Luleå to split the work equally between the two contractors. The dredging works will deepen and widen navigation channels to accommodate larger vessels and support the port’s expansion plans, with completion targeted for 2029.
