Van Oord completes EPC contract for Baltic Power offshore wind farm foundations in Poland

Van Oord finalized its engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract to deliver all monopile foundations and transition pieces for Poland’s first offshore wind farm, Baltic Power. The 1.2 GW project, co-developed by ORLEN and Northland Power, will supply renewable energy to over 1.5 million Polish households upon completion. Located in the Baltic Sea, the wind farm represents a critical milestone in Poland’s energy transition, reducing reliance on fossil fuels. The installation phase concluded in April 2026, with grid connection and commissioning expected by 2027. ORLEN, Poland’s largest energy company, and Northland Power, a Canadian renewable energy developer, jointly own the project with a 51%-49% stake split.
