Ventus signs EPC contract with INVESA to build the 13.04 MW Elgua solar plant in Guatemala

Ventus signed an EPC contract with INVESA to build the 13.04 MW Elgua photovoltaic plant in Agua Blanca, Jutiapa, Guatemala. The Elgua plant is one of two units in the 66 MW Solarium solar project, the other being the 52.98 MW Mersa facility. The EPC scope covers engineering, supply of more than 20,000 PV modules, 184 tracker structures, two transformers and a 34.5 kV transmission line to the national grid via the Mersa substation. The project will add renewable capacity to Guatemala’s national electricity system and is expected to create around 500 construction jobs, with 200 local workers and 39 women employed. Ventus also reported community actions, including donating 13.5 tonnes of reusable material and training over 130 students, benefiting about 500 nearby residents.
