Vestas Development Australia completed the acquisition of the 272MW St Patricks Plains wind farm in Tasmania’s Central Highlands from Ark Energy Corporation. The project has secured all primary development approvals and is progressing through secondary consents, with construction targeted to begin in 2027. This acquisition follows Vestas Development Australia’s partnership with Ark Energy on the Lotus Creek Wind Farm in Queensland, which reached financial close in 2024 and is now under construction. The deal expands Vestas Development Australia’s renewable energy development portfolio to over 13GW nationally. Vestas Development Australia expressed gratitude for Ark Energy’s collaboration and committed to ongoing engagement with local communities and stakeholders as the project advances.
