Virtus Data Centres secured a £2.45 billion ($3.25bn) financing package from a 13-bank consortium led by BNP Paribas, Crédit Agricole CIB, Société Générale and Standard Chartered Bank, announced on 28 September 2026. The capital provides long-term funding to support development and expansion of Virtus data centres across the UK and mainland Europe, including the 78MW Saunderton campus in Buckinghamshire and future investment in London19 in Slough. The package includes a £1.2 billion ($1.6bn) green capex facility available via term and revolving tranches to fund capital expenditure across the portfolio. The financing supports Virtus’s 14 operating data centres across four Greater London campuses and a fifth in Buckinghamshire, and underpins projects in development in Germany and Italy. Simmons & Simmons advised Virtus on the transaction while Clifford Chance advised the financing consortium.
