Vodafone Spain signed an extended infrastructure agreement with Cellnex that will last ten additional years. The contract will shift a share of the telco's tower sites from Vantage Towers to Cellnex, giving the operator greater network flexibility across Spain. The deal forms a core element of Zegona's strategy, which has owned Vodafone Spain since 2024, to optimise operating costs while financing 5G, fiber and future mobile networks. By reallocating sites, Vodafone expects improved financial terms and reduced reliance on Vantage Towers.
