Vodafone Group agreed to acquire CK Hutchison's 49% stake in VodafoneThree for £4.3 billion ($5.82bn), taking full ownership of the UK mobile operator. The transaction follows the £15bn ($20bn) merger of Vodafone and Three in 2025, which reduced the UK market from four to three mobile carriers. VodafoneThree has since integrated both networks under a £11 billion ($14.66bn) investment program to deploy one of Europe's most advanced 5G networks. The deal is expected to close in the second half of 2026, pending regulatory approval.
