Volvo Buses agreed to supply 38 Volvo BZR Low Entry Electric buses to the City of Cape Town for its electric passenger transport system, marking a landmark project for both the city and Volvo. The buses, based on Volvo’s flexible BZR platform, will be locally designed and manufactured by Gauteng Bus and Coach Centre in Johannesburg, supporting South African industrial capacity.
