Waaree Renewable Technologies Ltd secured a Letter of Award (LOA) to execute engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) works for a 291 MWp ground-mounted solar PV project paired with a 280 MWh battery energy storage system (BESS). The project, awarded by an unnamed Indian thermal power generating company, is scheduled for completion during the financial year 2027-28. This follows two additional EPC orders secured by Waaree Renewable Technologies in August 2026, including a 124 MWp (88 MW AC) ground-mounted solar PV project from an Indian renewable energy solutions company and a 210 MWp (150 MW AC) grid-connected ground-mounted solar project from Solaris Horizon Energy, a step-down subsidiary of Waaree Energies Ltd. The combined capacity of these three projects exceeds 625 MWp, reinforcing Waaree Renewable Technologies' position as a key player in India's renewable energy EPC sector. The inclusion of battery storage alongside solar PV highlights the growing integration of hybrid renewable energy solutions in India's utility-scale projects.
