We Energies announced a development partnership with Invenergy to build three renewable projects in Wisconsin, allocating roughly half of the generated capacity to Vantage's upcoming data center campus. The projects include a 150 MW solar plant with a 50 MWh battery in Rock County, a 110 MW onshore wind farm spanning Iowa and Grant counties, and a 75 MW battery storage facility in Walworth County. Construction is slated to begin immediately and finish by the end of 2027, delivering a combined 335 MW of clean power. The ownership structure gives We Energies a majority stake while Madison Gas & Electric and Wisconsin Public Service hold the remaining interests, ensuring local utility participation. This arrangement supports the $15 billion AI data center development and aligns with Wisconsin's broader renewable expansion goals.
