West Moberly First Nations and RES sign 30-year PPA with BC Hydro for 210MW Sweetwater Wind Project

West Moberly First Nations and RES have signed a 30-year energy purchase agreement with BC Hydro for the 210MW Sweetwater Wind Project. This project was one of four successful awards under BC Hydro's 2025 Call for Power. West Moberly First Nations will hold a 51% ownership stake in the project through a wholly owned subsidiary. The Sweetwater Wind Project will includes about 30 turbines and is located around 20km north of Dawson Creek on private agricultural land in Treaty 8 territory. The project is expected to generate enough electricity to power about 50,000 homes annually.
