Zambia inks PPA for 500 MW solar project with EnerSynk Group

Zambia's national utility ZESCO has signed a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with Hungary-based EnerSynk Group for a planned 500 MW solar project. The solar plant, to be developed in Zambia's Copperbelt province, will supply renewable electricity to the national power system upon completion. This PPA allows EnerSynk Group to advance the project into its next development phase, including technical studies, environmental and regulatory processes, and financing. EnerSynk Group views Zambia as a long-term energy market and aims to build scalable, bankable infrastructure aligned with the country's electricity needs.
